The Sundays are waning in the 2023-24 college basketball regular season but Feb. 11, 2024 promises to be among the most exciting days of the season. Three games between currently ranked teams are among the highlights of the day for bettors and fans.

The day’s slate calls for some split-screening as two of these three contests will be happening simultaneously. Fortunately for bettors, all three present some intriguing opportunities to get in on the action.

Louisville at Syracuse details, handicapping

This is the second meeting of the No. 15 Louisville Cardinals and the No. 23 Syracuse Orange in less than two weeks. These squads are vying to stay within a game of Virginia Tech in the ACC standings.

  • Tip-off: 12 p.m. ET, Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024
  • Venue: JMA Wireless Dome, Syracuse, New York
  • Broadcast: The CW
  • Previous matchup: Feb. 1, 2024, at Louisville, 81-69 Cardinals win
  • Last 5 games: Louisville WWWLW, Syracuse WLLWW
  • Average points for: Louisville 75.6, Syracuse 76.4
  • Average points against: Louisville 60.8, Syracuse 64.6
  • Syracuse record: 19-4 overall, 12-1 at home, 9-3 ACC
  • Louisville record: 20-4 overall, 5-3 on the road, 9-2 ACC

Louisville leads the all-time series between these programs 20-7. The Cardinals have also won nine of the last 10 meetings. Furthermore, Louisville has won six out of 11 true road games in the series as the Cardinals average outscoring the Orange by almost 11 points per game.

Both teams enter this game relatively healthy for mid-February. While Syracuse is without Dominique Camp, she has been out since mid-November. Louisville comes into this contest with more impressive offensive numbers but Syracuse has been strong on the boards all season, especially offensively.

Those second-chance opportunities will be crucial if the Orange are to cover in this game. If the Cardinals can limit those chances, however, Louisville could make bettors who take it on the spread some money.

Connecticut at South Carolina details, handicapping

Likely the highlight of the day for basketball fans, this marks the second consecutive season in which the No. 1 South Carolina Gamecocks and No. 11 Connecticut Huskies have faced each other. The talent on the court will be worth tuning into even for those who choose not to bet on the game.

  • Tip-off: 2 p.m. ET, Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024
  • Venue: Colonial Life Arena, Columbia, South Carolina
  • Broadcast: ESPN
  • Previous matchup: Feb. 5, 2023, 81-77 Gamecocks win in Hartford, Connecticut
  • Last 5 games: Connecticut WLWWW, South Carolina WWWWW
  • Average points for: Connecticut 82.5, South Carolina 88.8
  • Average points against: Connecticut 59, South Carolina 53.9
  • South Carolina record: 22-0 overall, 11-0 at home
  • Connecticut record: 20-4 overall, 8-2 on the road

Connecticut leads the series 9-4, including winning three out of four in Columbia. However, South Carolina has won each of the past three meetings and four of the past five. Over the last 10 meetings, the Huskies have a 6-4 advantage.

So far, the Gamecocks have only faced one real challenge to their undefeated record on the 2023-24 season. While UConn’s offensive numbers suggest they might have the talent to become the second team to legitimately threaten that unblemished record, the Huskies have yet to face a defense like South Carolina’s.

The spread on this game might be tighter if Connecticut had its full roster. Without Azzi Fudd and Aubrey Griffin, however, sportsbooks are likely to feel more comfortable giving the Gamecocks a wide berth. South Carolina will be playing without Sahnya Jah, however, who is suspended. Jah had averaged 9.1 minutes, 3.1 points, and two rebounds in 16 games so far this season.

Oregon State at Colorado details, handicapping

Like Louisville and Syracuse, this pair of teams is less than a month removed from its last meeting. If the No. 17 Oregon State Beavers can complete the season sweep of the No. 4 Colorado Buffaloes, they could climb into the top 10 themselves.

  • Tip-off: 2 p.m. ET, Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024
  • Venue: CU Events Center, Boulder, Colorado
  • Broadcast: Pac-12 Networks
  • Previous matchup: Jan. 26, 2024, at Oregon State, 68-62 Beavers win
  • Last 5 games: Colorado LWWWW, Oregon State LWWWW
  • Average points for: Colorado 77.8, Oregon State 74
  • Average points against: Colorado 62.7, Oregon State 58.1
  • Colorado record: 20-3 overall, 10-1 at home, 10-2 Pac-12
  • Oregon State record: 19-3 overall, 3-3 on the road, 8-3 Pac-12

Oregon State has gotten to this point by shooting the ball, avoiding turnovers, and being one of the best rebounding teams in the nation. However, the Beavers have recorded some significant splits in their home versus road games in those statistical categories.

Colorado’s offense has been even more efficient, however, although not as strong on the boards. In order to cover in this one, Oregon State will have to defy its season trend of seeing markedly diminished performance outside of Corvallis.
