WTA Dubai is in full swing as February comes to a close in 2023. With the Round of 32 ahead in singles play for the Dubai Duty Free Tennis championships, there have already been some upsets and more potentially on the way.

The trick for tennis bettors is to try to identify the best values as eliminations continue in moving toward the Round of 16. With the matchups set for Round of 32 play, there are some intriguing contests compared with the sportsbook odds.

WTA Dubai features big names and bigger matchups

The Round of 64 already brought some intrigue with Anhelina Kalinina upsetting 10th-seeded Veronika Kudermetova. Also, Sorena Cirstea advanced over Beatriz Haddad Maia, the tournament’s 11th seed.

Otherwise, the Round of 64 went according to the chalk. The Round of 32 will see nine of the current top-10 ranked singles players in the world take the court in pursuit of a title. They are all favored in their Round of 32 matches by legal major online North American sportsbooks, too.

That doesn’t mean there aren’t opportunities on the moneylines, however. Looking further into the props could reveal even great chances, too.

What the statistics say about the Round of 32 matches

Looking at Round of 32 moneylines, one match that immediately stands out is fourth-seeded Caroline Garcia v Madison Keys. Keys has prevailed over Garcia in three of the pair’s four previous meetings, including their last three consecutive matches.

Over that time, Garcia has been unable to even push Keys to a third set. Despite these facts, Keys is +112 on the moneyline against Garcia at BetRivers Sportsbook. While books have Kalinina progressing to the Round of 16, Dayana Yastremska is an opponent she has faced just once and could be worth a flier at +130 on either Caesars or DraftKings sportsbooks.

Another potential opportunity is in the Liudmila Samsonova vs. Qinwen Zheng match, but not on the moneyline. This pair has faced off three times three times before and their last meeting was typical of the ferocity of their competition, with Samsonova prevailing 6-4, 1-6, 6-4.

In their second meeting, Samsonova also prevailed but 7-5, 7-5. BetRivers is offering even money odds on the match going over 22.5 games. Should Zheng prove up to the task again, that could be a winning wager.
