2023 SheBelieves Cup betting returns to the schedule Wednesday as the four participating teams play their final group stage matches. Both Canada and the United States are favored by sportsbooks with very different goals in mind.

The Canadians need points to contend for the championship while the United States has essentially already played its way toward that end. For that reason, the earlier match on Wednesday could be easier to bet.

SheBelieves Cup betting details for Wednesday

Fans could be treated to one of the two North American teams taking the trophy for the 2023 tournament if Wednesday works out that way. The current point standings from the first two rounds of group play are:

  • USA – 6
  • Canada – 3
  • Brazil – 3
  • Japan –0

Canada defeated Brazil 2-0 in its second match of group play. Thus, the Canadians have the tiebreaker if the two teams end up with the same number of points. Canada needs help from Brazil to have a chance at the title for this tournament, though.

For the US, a SheBelievesCup win is even nearer. Brazil would not only have to defeat the Americans but do so by at least five goals to overtake the US. Canada could claim the trophy if Brazil wins but by a smaller margin and the Canadians not only defeat Japan but do it convincingly.

The two matches are scheduled for:

  • Canada v Japan, 4 p.m. ET, fuboTV and OneSoccer
  • Brazil v USA, 7 p.m. ET, HBO Max and Peacock in the US

Legal Canadian and US sportsbooks are giving deference to their home teams on Wednesday.

As of 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Feb. 22, three online legal sportsbooks have action on the two matches.

The US leads the field in terms of goals scored (3) and posted two clean sheets in their matches. Despite snagging a win over Japan, the Brazilians come in with a -1 goal differential. While that might make props on US goals seem attractive, there’s a question of experimentation and motivation for the US.

The US could be in position to win this tournament even if they lose to Brazil (by fewer than five goals) by virtue of their head-to-head win over Canada. Given that the Americans just need to avoid getting blown out in this one, the team might experiment with some different lineups.

Additionally, staying healthy for the oncoming FIFA World Cup should be a priority for the US. For Canada, goal props might be a little more interesting. A loss to Japan would dash all hopes of coming away with a trophy.

DraftKings is offering +125 odds on Over 2.5 goals for Canada while PointsBet has +175 odds on Over 1.5 goals. FanDuel has some intriguing Goal Scorer wagers on the board, with Christine “Sincy” Sinclair +470 to find the back of the net.
