Bohm V Lipski: Odds, Lines, And Predictions For Saturday Night

Written By Katie Lever on September 17, 2021

On Saturday night, Mandy “Monster” Bohm takes on Arianne “Queen of Violence” Lipski at 7:00 p.m. ET in Las Vegas. The fight marks Bohm’s UFC debut, while Lipski is coming off a loss to Montana De La Rosa on June 5.

Fans can catch the UFC Fight Night action on ESPN+, with prelims commencing at 4 p.m. ET. As is always the case with newcomers to the Octagon, bettors need to prioritize how their opponents have fared against similar fighters in the past.

Handicapping Bohm v Lipski

On paper, this flyweight fight looks like a bit of a toss-up. Bohm is an unknown force, for certain. Meanwhile, Lipski only averages a 33% accuracy rate on significant strikes, a 48% defense rate, and a 25% takedown accuracy rate. Inaccuracy clashing with inexperience in the ring could make for an interesting fight.

What Lipski has going for her is a lack of reliance on one strategy to get points and wins. Six of her 13 wins have come by knockout, while another four were the result of decisions. Thus, even if Bohm simply tries to land more punches and exploit that weaker defense rate, she should be able to compete.

Lipski anticipates spending time on the mat, however. She told Sportskeeda that opponents often try to take her down and believes Bohm will do the same. Lipski is by far the most formidable opponent that Bohm has faced yet and thus, the former might be able to exploit any hesitancy by the latter as she adjusts.

The sportsbooks are something to keep an eye on as well.

Odds for the fight at Canadian and US sportsbooks

Lipski is slated as a narrow favorite to win on FanDuel Sportsbook, where she’s listed at -124 odds to Bohm’s +106. FanDuel also offers bettors a well-rounded set of odds for the method of victory with several different scenarios to choose from.

More conservative bettors can put money down for either Bohm or Lipski to win on points with identical odds of +190 while bettors looking to take a risk can either bet on Lipski to win by submission with odds of +1000 or Bohm to win by submission with odds of +1200. There’s also a happy medium option—FanDuel sets the odds of Bohm winning by KO/TKO at +600.

Proline Ontario, currently the only legal betting option in the province, has Lipski -125 to win. Bettors can also get +145 odds on the fight not going the distance or +170 on Lipski to win by points.

The match should be an entertaining challenge for the “Queen of Violence.” If Bohm hands her a third consecutive loss and thereby gets her first career UFC win, that crown could show some tarnish.
